Supercar Saturday is back - for its 20th year! This Saturday (25th), Castle Combe Circuit will welcome the Stroke Association back for their 20th year with their famous Supercar Saturday’ event. Raising valuable funds for this worthy cause, Supercar Saturday is a must-attend event for car fans of all ages. Unlike most car shows, Supercar Saturday offers a unique opportunity; not only can visitors get up close to some incredible cars but they can also take to the passenger seat for the ride of a lifetime around the famous 1.85 mile circuit! With passenger rides starting at just £20, visitors can chose their favourite from an eclectic mix of dream cars including models from Ferrari, Porsche, Lotus, BMW and Mercedes. If you like your thrills a bit more on the raw side there are Radicals, Caterhams, Wesftfields and fully race prepared sports special and saloon cars to whet your appetite. If youre of the opinion that they just dont make em like they used to, you can put your name down for a classic such as an AC Cobra, MG BGT or Datsun 240Z. For the real race fans among you there is also not one, but two BTCC spec Honda Civics! In addition to the cars giving passenger rides there will be some fantastic displays around the paddock including a Lotus F1 car, a racing simulator and displays from local motor clubs. Once again the paddock will also play host to one of the most affordable and accessible forms of motorsport; a Slalom Autosolo organised by Bristol Motor Club. This test of driving skill involves a slalom course against the clock and anyone with a currently taxed, MOT’d and insured car can have a go! Just £20 will give you tuition from an Autosolo expert and 3 timed runs at the course. Alternatively you can jump in the passenger seat of a car driven by one of the BMC Autosolo mentors for three circuits of the course for just £10. Admission on the day is £5 per person with all proceeds going to the Stroke Association. Gates open at 9am and circuit passenger rides commence at 9:30am. So please come along for a fantastic day for a fantastic cause – but don’t leave it too late to arrive as the event is hugely popular and you won’t want to miss out on a ride in your dream car! stroke.org.uk/home Terms & Conditions apply to passenger rides and Autosolo experience participation. Full details will be available/explained on the day.
