Superintendent Bob Fauser speaks to the media about a crash at Cultana, near Whyalla yesterday where three men died. Read more below: The Lincoln Highway has reopened following the crash that claimed the lives of three men yesterday near Whyalla. Just after 4.30pm a Nissan station wagon travelling north on the Lincoln Highway collided with a semi-trailer travelling in the opposite direction, about 30kms north of Whyalla. The three men in the Nissan, a 59-year-old man and two 33-year-old men all from Port Pirie died at the scene. The male truck driver was treated in hospital for minor injuries. Major Crash Investigators flew to the scene last night to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash. The Lincoln Highway was closed for several hours, but reopened at about 3am, however speed restrictions apply in the area. This incident brings the States road toll to 9 compared to 4 at the same time last year.
