Supermarket meat (non-organic) nearly always means that the animal - TopicsExpress

Supermarket meat (non-organic) nearly always means that the animal that became that meat had been intensively-farmed. Most of these poor animals are treated very badly and in many cases these animals don’t even see the light of day or have access to open pastures/natural grass. Does this sit comfortably with you? Because it doesnt with me. Meat should be deemed a luxury and not consumed every day. People say they cant afford organic meat but thats because they eat it every day. Eat less and it is affordable and you know the animal you are eating was at least treated with some dignity before it died for you.
