Supervisors (Fairfield, AL) Stellar Staffing, LLC is currently accepting applications for Hourly Service Center Supervisor and Hourly Stamping Department Supervisor. POSITION SUMMARY: Primary requirement of this position is to be responsible for manning, day to day supervision, and execution of manufacturing schedules, safety, and quality of production materials. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This Position includes the following duties and responsibilities on a daily basis: Development and execution of daily schedule Ensure that all equipment and services are appropriately manned Support all safety activities including verification that all employees are following safety rules and safe job procedures Improve and maintain excellent 5S Maintain traffic flow in/out of department Hold daily Huddle Meetings Insure that inventory is properly identified, kept in good condition, and properly handled Insure that all computer collected data is accurate and properly managed in computer system Report to Plant Manager schedule compliance and other operation related issues Complete Daily Metrics input and analysis Hold Gemba Walks and Process Audits Report any safety condition that may be hazardous Fill out maintenance repair forms Follow all plant safety rules, on the job procedures, and lockout tag out procedures. Review quality problems and develop corrective action where needed Review production delays and develop corrective action where needed Conduct Safety Training for employees Conduct Quality Training for employees Communicate with peers including other supervisors and managers. Insures that employees adhere to all conduct rules, and disciplines where necessary Works with vendors and suppliers to improve cost and usage of consumable goods Provide leadership for the team. A key part of this duty is leadership by example. Following standard work, creating a safe and effective workplace. Complete cross training of all employees in the department and maintain a flexible workforce. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to upgrade and maintain the safe, efficient operation of the plant. This position does have considerable leadership responsibilities that include being concerned for the safety of the team members and the success of the business. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A minimum of 5 years supervision experience is required. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point required. A communication skill for interfacing with internal and external customers is required. A knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles and Processes a plus.
