Supply Chain Cost Analyst – Consumer Electronics Products/Gaming Accessories - San Diego TriStaff is partnering with this leading provider of accessories to the video gaming industry. Our client has experienced steady growth and is now positioned to accelerate in response to strong, global consumer demand for their products based on their quality, advanced technology, innovative features and value. To support that growth, they are creating an industry leading supply chain that will continue to deliver the quality audio products to their end customers through flawless execution and effective cost management. The primary focus of the Supply Chain team is to ensure superior quality product is delivered per their commitments, ethically and responsibly, at an industry leading cost. This rapidly growing team must scale current operations and align strategic direction to support company growth projections. We are currently looking for the high caliber talent to instill predictability, rigor and accountability across the end-to-end supply chain operations through consistent process and performance management. We have an immediate need for a Supply Chain (SC) Cost Analyst located in San Diego, CA. The successful candidate will effectively collaborate across the broader end-to-end value chain to enable deeper understanding of SC Cost and implement strategies to reduce costs. He/she must have supply chain operation cost analysis experience in high tech, manufacturing and consumer goods with outstanding communication and program management skills. Key Responsibilities: • Integrate the operations flows with the financial flows to gain an understanding of the cost drivers that drive the P&L COS. • Analysis to compare actual COS to budget, changes in the total COS from one close cycle to the next and forecast outer quarter Cost of Sales. • Develop, define and implement models to help understand drivers for product costs across the supply chain. • Estimate New Product Costs in collaboration with Product Management, Engineering and Finance • Clearly articulate what changes have occurred between revisions of product costs across the development life cycle and proactively identify cost reduction opportunities for these products • Brainstorm with the development team on how to design for lower cost • Lead teams with representation across functional, regional and global business unit (GBU) to develop and enhance business processes and model supply chain costs • Ad hoc Business Modeling to drive strategic decisions relating to supply chain • Influence multiple stakeholders and interact with managers and directors Knowledge & Skills • Self-directed with ability to collaborate across Operations Team, Engineering Teams and Program Management teams and influence across functional boundaries • Ability to look beyond the data available within Company (industry and company benchmarks) to support business modeling • Comfortable dealing with ambiguous cost related questions, quickly synthesize available information, develop a framework, make assumptions and estimate costs • Proven leadership ability to accomplish organizational goals and commitments with a global business perspective • Ability to mobilize geographically disbursed virtual teams to consistently hit milestones and achieve business goals • Excellent understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make deliver). • Experience in cutting edge analytical tools, models and methods for making key business decisions. • Very Strong project management skills, with capability to manage cross functional teams in multiple geographies. • Outstanding listening and process diagnosing skillsets and an ability to create ethical and effective solutions in a team environment. • Effective teambuilding and negotiation skills with an ability to influence stakeholders with competing interests • Must take an authentic approach to collaboration leading to collective success across the E2E value chain. • High energy & enthusiasm to establish new approaches to supply chain operations and program management. • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment. Education Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; advanced University Degree preferred. • Financial business acumen, MBA a plus • Typically 4 - 6 years of experience in a supply chain function. • Experience in more than one supply chain function and supply chain analysis • Experience in handling mechanical (plastics or metal) commodities, a plus. • Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, a plus.
