Support the veterans, here and away, alive and gone. Respect their memory, honor their service and let them know wherever you see that you appreciate what they have done. A simple Thank you for your service means so much to them. How much can that cost you? Five seconds? Is YOUR time so special and so valuable that you cant afford five seconds to let someone know you enjoy being FREE? Wasnt his/her life just as valuable? When you decide to walk past a veteran, think about how valuable your freedom is. That veteran spent many five minutes making sure that all of us remain free sacrificing time, energy and perhaps arms, legs and the life that could have returned home to enjoy his/her family and be free. Dont pass by a soldier, past or present. Your day will go a lot smoother and youll feel good for a change and it only costs you five seconds. Ann Cummins.
