Supporting Stamfords Nonprofit Organizations Stamfords nonprofit organizations play a vital role in our community, offering a wide variety of essential services to people and families who rely on them. I am very pleased to announce that grants have been awarded for three excellent nonprofit organizations in our city through the states Nonprofit Grant Program. Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut--$72,582 has been awarded for security and other improvements. Inspirica, Inc.--A combined total of $620,000 has been awarded, including $300,000 for a generator at the organizations Franklin Common location, $170,000 for improvements and $150,000 for safety upgrades. Shelter for the Homeless--$153,000 has been awarded for shelter improvements.
