Suppose that a society is in an economic crisis and, as a consequence of the decision by the governing elites to shore up corporate profits and the system based upon them and use increased repression against the populace facilitated by a massive system of surveillance, it shows numerous signs of social crises articulated in a variety of ways though not yet a political that would derive from mass opposition. One of the things that might happen is lot of people would feel upset in some way. Perhaps most of them would attribute this simply to their own feeling of difficulty in struggling with objective, material difficulties. What is to be done? Well, obviously pay attention to these people. You never know what people might do. Maybe they could all be drugged. What else do you expect us to do?
