Supreme Coalition Youth Enterprise Scheme (YES- SUPREME) is creating jobs for youths in Cross River State through entrepreneurship initiatives tackling the twin evil of unemployment and poverty in the state. The Scheme takes selected youth through a process of entrepreneurship training, business plan development, provides funding and technical support to produce the next generation of entrepreneurs in Nigeria. Some of the selected investment areas include yam and plantain flour production, fruit juice production, oil palm and kernel oil production, garri and cassava flour production, integrated food processing and many others. Beneficiaries of the Supreme Coalition Youth Enterprise Scheme (YES-SUPREME) will go through twelve weeks of entrepreneurial training with the Central Bank South South Entrpreneurship Development Center (EDC) to improve their entrepreneurship skills. After this training, they will be assisted by PIEL CONSULT LTD, our entrepreneurship consulting firm to make their choices of enterprise and to develop business plans for the proposed business. At this stage, the Nigerian Economic Reconstruction Fund (NERFUND) will provide funding to the tune of Five million Naira (N5m) for the set up and running of the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) at selected locations. The beneficiaries will continue receiving Technical Support from the consulting firm for one year to ensure they succeed while Supreme Coalition will also embark on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) over the period. Our appreciation goes out to the Local Government Chairmen of the 18 LGAs for providing the counterpart funding and some other required financing for the project and the Cross River State Government for their support. Supreme Coalition is calling on well meaning Cross Riverians to support this noble initiative and together we can take our youths off the streets and contribute to the growth of our state economy.
