Surah Tawbah ayat no: يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللّهِ لَكُمْ لِيُرْضُوكُمْ وَاللّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَقُّ أَن يُرْضُوهُ إِن كَانُواْ مُؤْمِنِينَ (62 তোমাদের সামনে আল্লাহর কসম খায় যাতে তোমাদের রাযী করতে পারে। অবশ্য তারা যদি ঈমানদার হয়ে থাকে, তবে আল্লাহকে এবং তাঁর রসূলকে রাযী করা অত্যন্ত জরুরী। To you they swear by Allah. In order to please you: But it is more fitting that they should please Allah and His Messenger, if they are Believers. أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُواْ أَنَّهُ مَن يُحَادِدِ اللّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَأَنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا فِيهَا ذَلِكَ الْخِزْيُ الْعَظِيمُ (63 তারা কি একথা জেনে নেয়নি যে, আল্লাহর সাথে এবং তাঁর রসূলের সাথে যে মোকাবেলা করে তার জন্যে নির্ধারিত রয়েছে দোযখ; তাতে সব সময় থাকবে। এটিই হল মহা-অপমান। Know they not that for those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, is the Fire of Hell?- wherein they shall dwell. That is the supreme disgrace. يَحْذَرُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ أَن تُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُورَةٌ تُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا فِي قُلُوبِهِم قُلِ اسْتَهْزِؤُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ مُخْرِجٌ مَّا تَحْذَرُونَ (64 মুনাফেকরা এ ব্যাপারে ভয় করে যে, মুসলমানদের উপর না এমন কোন সূরা নাযিল হয়, যাতে তাদের অন্তরের গোপন বিষয় অবহিত করা হবে। সুতরাং আপনি বলে দিন, ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রপ করতে থাক; আল্লাহ তা অবশ্যই প্রকাশ করবেন যার ব্যাপারে তোমরা ভয় করছ। The Hypocrites are afraid lest a Sura should be sent down about them, showing them what is (really passing) in their hearts. Say: Mock ye! But verily Allah will bring to light all that ye fear (should be revealed). وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّمَا كُنَّا نَخُوضُ وَنَلْعَبُ قُلْ أَبِاللّهِ وَآيَاتِهِ وَرَسُولِهِ كُنتُمْ تَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ (65 আর যদি তুমি তাদের কাছে জিজ্ঞেস কর, তবে তারা বলবে, আমরা তো কথার কথা বলছিলাম এবং কৌতুক করছিলাম। আপনি বলুন, তোমরা কি আল্লাহর সাথে, তাঁর হুকুম আহকামের সাথে এবং তাঁর রসূলের সাথে ঠাট্টা করছিলে? If thou dost question them, they declare (with emphasis): We were only talking idly and in play. Say: Was it at Allah, and His Signs, and His Messenger, that ye were mocking? لاَ تَعْتَذِرُواْ قَدْ كَفَرْتُم بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ إِن نَّعْفُ عَن طَآئِفَةٍ مِّنكُمْ نُعَذِّبْ طَآئِفَةً بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ مُجْرِمِينَ (66 ছলনা কর না, তোমরা যে কাফের হয়ে গেছ ঈমান প্রকাশ করার পর। তোমাদের মধ্যে কোন কোন লোককে যদি আমি ক্ষমা করে দেইও, তবে অবশ্য কিছু লোককে আযাবও দেব। কারণ, তারা ছিল গোনাহগার। Make ye no excuses: ye have rejected Faith after ye had accepted it. If We pardon some of you, We will punish others amongst you, for that they are in sin. الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتُ بَعْضُهُم مِّن بَعْضٍ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمُنكَرِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَقْبِضُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ نَسُواْ اللّهَ فَنَسِيَهُمْ إِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ (67 মুনাফেক নর-নারী সবারই গতিবিধি একরকম; শিখায় মন্দ কথা, ভাল কথা থেকে বারণ করে এবং নিজ মুঠো বন্ধ রাখে। আল্লাহকে ভুলে গেছে তার, কাজেই তিনিও তাদের ভূলে গেছেন নিঃসন্দেহে মুনাফেকরাই নাফরমান। The Hypocrites, men and women, (have an understanding) with each other: They enjoin evil, and forbid what is just, and are close with their hands. They have forgotten Allah. so He hath forgotten them. Verily the Hypocrites are rebellious and perverse. وَعَدَ الله الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتِ وَالْكُفَّارَ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا هِيَ حَسْبُهُمْ وَلَعَنَهُمُ اللّهُ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيمٌ (68 ওয়াদা করেছেন আল্লাহ, মুনাফেক পুরুষ ও মুনাফেক নারীদের এবং কাফেরদের জন্যে দোযখের আগুনের-তাতে পড়ে থাকবে সর্বদা। সেটাই তাদের জন্যে যথেষ্ট। আর আল্লাহ তাদের প্রতি অভিসম্পাত করেছেন এবং তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে স্থায়ী আযাব। Allah hath promised the Hypocrites men and women, and the rejecters, of Faith, the fire of Hell: Therein shall they dwell: Sufficient is it for them: for them is the curse of Allah, and an enduring punishment,- كَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ كَانُواْ أَشَدَّ مِنكُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَكْثَرَ أَمْوَالاً وَأَوْلاَدًا فَاسْتَمْتَعُواْ بِخَلاقِهِمْ فَاسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِخَلاَقِكُمْ كَمَا اسْتَمْتَعَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ بِخَلاَقِهِمْ وَخُضْتُمْ كَالَّذِي خَاضُواْ أُوْلَـئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الُّدنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ (69 যেমন করে তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তী লোকেরা তোমাদের চেয়ে বেশী ছিল শক্তিতে এবং ধন-সম্পদের ও সন্তান-সন্ততির অধিকারীও ছিল বেশী; অতঃপর উপকৃত হয়েছে নিজেদের ভাগের দ্বারা আবার তোমরা ফায়দা উঠিয়েছ তোমাদের ভাগের দ্বারা-যেমন করে তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীরা ফায়দা উঠিয়েছিল নিজেদের ভাগের দ্বারা। আর তোমরাও বলছ তাদেরই চলন অনুযায়ী। তারা ছিল সে লোক, যাদের আমলসমূহ নিঃশেষিত হয়ে গেছে দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতে। আর তারাই হয়েছে ক্ষতির সম্মুখীন। As in the case of those before you: they were mightier than you in power, and more flourishing in wealth and children. They had their enjoyment of their portion: and ye have of yours, as did those before you; and ye indulge in idle talk as they did. They!- their work are fruitless in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will lose (all spiritual good). أَلَمْ يَأْتِهِمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَقَوْمِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وِأَصْحَابِ مَدْيَنَ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتِ أَتَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَـكِن كَانُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ (70 তাদের সংবাদ কি এদের কানে এসে পৌঁছায়নি, যারা ছিল তাদের পূর্বে; নূহের আ’দের ও সামুদের সম্প্রদায় এবং ইব্রাহীমের সম্প্রদায়ের এবং মাদইয়ানবাসীদের? এবং সেসব জনপদের যেগুলোকে উল্টে দেয়া হয়েছিল? তাদের কাছে এসেছিলেন তাদের নবী পরিষ্কার নির্দেশ নিয়ে। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ তো এমন ছিলেন না যে, তাদের উপর জুলুম করতেন, কিন্তু তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের উপর জুলুম করতো। Hath not the story reached them of those before them?- the People of Noah, and Ad, and Thamud; the People of Abraham, the men of Midian, and the cities overthrown. To them came their apostles with clear signs. It is not Allah Who wrongs them, but they wrong their own souls.
