Sure people complain about our hospital, but it will be a tragedy if there isnt any option for urgent care & emergency situations, you never know when you or your loved ones life will be in jeopardy... This is Poteau, so sure it isnt the most up to date or best facility in the country... But the fact is lives have & will be saved! Its not just an issue with obstetrical emergencies, its an issue for all emergency surgery like an appendectomy or even an auto accident!!! In the big picture, if the measure doesnt pass the hospital cant afford to be open at all!!! That affects even non life threatening incidents, like when your child is in horrible pain from a broken bone, or a baby screaming with an ear infection, & you need the closest place at 2am (Both of which Ive used Poteau hospital for) NO hospital at all will be a tragic outcome, lives are at stake... Ive heard so many people say: its better off closed and it doesnt matter to me... Just think how many people in your life you would have to loose before it will matter to you, or you realize voting no was the wrong decision!!!! PLEASE VOTE YES!!!
