Surfing Stretches and Flexibility Exercises. Even, if youre in a good shape, stretching is essential. If surfing is a new sport to you, youll want your muscle ready for anything. Paddling a surfboard and sitting on surfboard land leaping to your feet puts a lot of strain on the lower back. My instructor always says - I tell all beginners they will be using muscles they they never knew they had, in ways they never have before. I always stretch to limber up before surfing, and I encourage my students to do the same. -
