Surgeon was good with the foot...Says the swelling is normal and to be expected still at this stage (I just didnt swell as much last time, so I was a bit surprised at the swelling, but this is well within the normal range)...I will go back in a few weeks for x-rays to see how well the actual bones and my new hardware are doing... And let me just say it feels fantastic to not be carrying the weight of the plaster cast around on my foot anymore...Seriously, its awesome... I just have to keep an eye on the big toe as it is still painful (most of the time) when I move it...He still wants me to keep moving it as much as possible though, but we will monitor the pain levels as it goes along...The other pain is located where it should be and is at a relatively tolerable level, even without the good pain killers, so I still have a healthy supply of those should I end up needing them later...All in all, a good visit... I just have to re-learn how to get in and out of the house and car while using the roller, as it is different from last time and requires a slight adjustment to maneuvering around, but I will figure it out soon enough...
