Surgery is scheduled for Wed. morning at 8.How did we decide what to do? Im not really sure that we decided it just kind of all went together and we are sure that God put it together. The children were waiting to hear from us and Wayne was waiting for us to say Get the tickets.We thot we wanted to speak to the surgeon first but ..... Jonathan is terribly constipated, that tumor is at at least 10 inches long... the Dr. made the shape of a football. So we finally gave them the Ok to get the tickets.God worked out all the details and they are on the way and will arrive in SanDiego at 10;45 tonight. There were 7 seats left on that plane, they needed 6. Honestly Im not surprised that it all came together...God can do things a lot more difficult then arrange plane tickets.After that was done the surgeon came in. He has no idea how long the surgery will take until he opened him up.He has 2 main concerns...1 if the tumor is wrapped into the nerve and he would have to cut the nerve he will lose 15% function of his leg...2 if it is wrapped around the the tube going to the kidney, he will have to take the kidney out.Neither of those concerns are life threatening but they are concerns that we hope and pray will not happen.He is not concerned about the aleac vessel...hmm.. Maybe we should have been here way back in Nov.That was the reason Wake Forest would not do surgery.I know I need to leave that in the past but its hard to understand!! I hope and pray they will not have any surprises and complications and right now we feel at peace with the whole thing. O my poor husband does not look forward to being cut but he is tired of that stupid tumor too.Constipation,nausea,and leg pain are a combination that is making him feel totally rotten.The pain is much better then it was but its still pain. So thankful the children are on the way, that surgery is planned and things are not worse. God has been working things out and I believe He will see us through.Thank You for praying, MaryAnn and JZ
