Surprise!!! Guess whos at Ranch Dog Rescue?! I couldnt leave Jax behind yesterday. He was so fearful in the kennel and had emotionally shut down. And if you were part of the kennel staff, he wanted nothing to do with you. With the help of shelter Volunteer Jason, I was able to form a quick bond with Jax and off we went. Jason loaded him in my SUV and the rest was history! Jax did not want to sleep in the house last night - he preferred the patio, looking into the house. Probably so he could watch us and figure out if he could trust us or not. Looks like hes made his decision, hes come in this morning, had some treats, said hello to the kids and is looking like he wants to relax...but hes not quite there yet. As you can see from the picture, Jax could use some double whopper combos; hes pretty under weight. He also needs to be neutered which will happen next week. Neutering is approximately $50, and food is $30 for a $35lb bag.
