Surprise Surprise Surprise: Ex-Vice President Dick Cheney is now recommending that the US in concert with the EU conduct massive joint military maneuvers along the Polish/Russian border as a display of threat and ready retaliation. I think it is noteworthy, that for a guy who has remained relatively out of the limelight, he has now chosen to express such an opinion. And it would be good to remember that Mr. Cheney was Secretary of Defense for Bush 1 in 1991 when he created a contract vehicle for and gave contracts to Halliburton that resulted in millions of dollars of revenue for that corporation. And after leaving the administration served as CEO of Halliburton from 1995 to 2000. Then he became Vice President, engineered the Iraq War where Halliburton was awarded hundreds of millions of dollars of non-competitive contracts to rebuild a devastated Iraq in 2003. Is the horizon that far away?
