Surprise! Wildcat Mountain will open Sunday, November 9 at 10 a.m. offering top-to-bottom skiing and riding on Lynx trail via the summit quad chairlift. There will be no novice or beginner terrain available and early season conditions will be variable. Seriously, its early season, expect the unexpected, but well be making every effort to groom overnight tonight...but some of that snow was just made today. Skiing and riding will be FREE on Sunday, November 9! You will have to obtain a lift ticket, but it will be free on Sunday. Considering the time of year and the approaching holiday seasons, we do ask you to donate at least two canned good food items or a small cash donation on behalf of local food pantries. But otherwise, come and get it! ood Services will be limited. Rentals and ski school will not be available. Our latest round of snowmaking today has been productive covering the base in white along with Lower and Middle Lynx. Temps stayed colder a bit longer and we were able to get a few extra hours of snowmaking on the lower mountain which helped us to open sooner than we initially thought. But here we kicking off the 2014/15 season with 2,000 vertical feet of skiing and riding on Sunday, November 9! Were just as anxious as you to get back out there. Were still not even sure what were going to do after tomorrow...stay open Monday or shut down and reopen later this week. Well make that decision Sunday after weve skied the day, see how things are doing, what the weather is looking like, and everything else that the early season has us considering, so stay tuned at skiwildcat/snow-report.html.
