Surprised By Joy: Joy is the expectation of something good, as in the expectation of heaven. It is in the knowing that all is well, God is with us and for us. To be surprised by joy would be like the day the clouds roll back and Jesus has come to meet us in the air to take us with Him. Surprised by joy is like the day you gave your heart to Christ. it is also like seeing your new born baby for the first time. It is in the receiving good news, check in the mail, etc. Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with garments of salvation, he hath covered me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneht herself with her jewels. My friends we have joy not because we are happy, but because we know who we are in Christ. We know that God is with us, and takes care of us. We have joy because we have confidence in Him to meet all our needs, because he said so. Being surprised by joy will be the day that the sky splits open and we see Him coming to meet us in the air, to be with Him forever. Joy my friends in nothing man can take from us, the world did not give it , and the world can not take it away. I pray that today you will experience being surprised by joy, that an overwhelming feeling of peace and joy will flood your soul. Christmas time is a time of joy, lets take a moment in the busyness of it all, not letting anything distract us from the meaning of Christmas, and take in what Christmas is all about. Joy to the world, the Lord has come.
