Surrey County Foresomes News. Something very special happened this weekend and in our Centenary Year as well. Not only did both Bramley Teams of Gareth White / James Johnson and Phil Marchbanks / Andy Rogers qualify for the top 8 knock out - they both then won there first round matches so two Bramley Golf Club teams made the semi finals. Phil and Andy lost out, but James and Gareth then made the final winning the title on the 18th!!!! This is the first time that Bramley has won the Surrey County Foresomes. Clubs like Wentworth and Walton Heath have been prestigious winners in the past. James and Gareth not only won the three day event, but in qualifying they posted the lowest 36 hole total. Something special is clearly happening at Bramley. We have facilities that allow us to attract and retain some of the best amateur golfers in Surrey (for this weekend at least we can say THE BEST). Our course is set up brilliantly to reward accuracy and we have practice facilities that are the envy of most. Gareth, James, Phil and Andy are a credit to themselves and we are delighted to have them here with us. Well done lads.
