Survival In the blink of an eye your life is never the same, its like a cruel and horrible game. To look at me one would think nothing is wrong, trying to explain Lupus takes so long. The exhaustion is grueling, I try to a act normal, but who am I fooling? On the pain scale from one to ten, every day minimum is a 5, but thats not to often. The medical treatment we endure makes you numb, the Doctors treat us like we are dumb. Emergency room visits and ambulance rides, its a waiting game of misery until it subsides. My family has been thought hell and back, they are always willing to pick up the slack. They stick by my side without question, theyre all frightened, I can tell by their expression. Its a long, slow and painful ordeal, Its nearly impossible to keep an even keel. One day at a time, everyday is mountain we have to climb. This I know for sure, we need a damn cure! I know a cure wont be an option for me, but for future generations we may see. For now Ill live with it and not die from it, I will simply not quit! ~Deb 7-20-14 ~LupieLady
