Survive (ft. MK-1) didnt make it into triple js Hottest 100. To be very honest about it, I was disappointed for about 30 seconds and then I got over it. It is what it is. I dont make music for any recognition or reward. The goal when I make music with my team is not to get into the Hottest 100. Thatd be a nice thing, dont get me wrong. But its not why I make music. I make music to impact lives; my own life, first and foremost. I make music to move, inspire and challenge myself and others. When I see people at shows or I meet people who know my music and they tell me their own personal stories and how theyre connected with my music, that moves me. That inspires me. And that is, ultimately, what is special about all this. A big thanks to everyone who voted for Survive (ft. MK-1). It was crazy to see such support for the song. I appreciate it fam. I really do. Ive received so many encouraging and inspiring messages from you since the Hottest 100 was announced. Ill keep doing my thing. Ill focus on what I can control, and thats to make the best music I possibly can. And with that, therell be plenty of opportunities again in the future. Much love yall. 1
