Survivor headlines: Jersey cop wins, by resorting to deception, deceit, dishonesty, backstabbing (by resorting to corruption), which involved repeatedly swearing on his badge and wife & kid’s lives and his father’s grave. This truly makes one of the worst winners ever. Tony was hated by almost everyone on the jury until Spencer made a speech to them at the end. His speech basically consisted of, “I’m an expert and he basically played hard and well, you should vote for him”. And in the end, that’s what they did. Here’s my response to Spencer’s speech to the jurors: Jurors: You have zero obligation to follow Spencer’s advice and vote for Tony. You have all complained about Tony, and been victims of him, so don’t reward his bad behavior. Spencer’s only defense for Tony was that he “played hard”, but so has Woo. The difference is that Tony left a trail of human victims to get here, but Woo did not. And it’s just as hard or harder to arrive at the final two with no victims. So if you hate Tony’s lies and backstabbing and swearing on his badge and wife & kid’s and father’s grave, don’t vote for him. Because if you do, you will guarantee that future players too will resort to these kinds of abusive and dishonest tactics. Your votes set the rules of fair play for future contestants. In your hands, you have the power to change the course of this game. Jeff and the producers only think they make the rules, but it’s actually you who largely determine the rules of ethics future players will follow. As in life, there are many ways to arrive at your goal; hopefully you will choose the one that’s the least aggressive and deceitful and hurtful to others. If you want to begin changing the core values of this game, you have the power right now. Use it. Vote for Woo.
