Susan Champion, Third Grade Teacher at Hathaway Elementary School, has passed away. Students and colleagues will remember Susan as an incredible teacher, who had great skill in working with students and helping them learn. Susan was always smiling, approached adversity with a positive attitude, and had a warm, caring demeanor. Susan worked with the Washougal School district for over 20 years. The school has arranged for grief counselors to be available for students and staff who need support. Parents concerned about their childs reaction to the loss of a teacher should contact the school.
