Susan and I would like to extend our personal greetings to Muslims in Nairobi and across the country as they complete the month of Ramadan and celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr. The theme of sacrifice and generosity, which defines this month, works to strengthen the ties between us. It reminds us all – both Muslims and non-Muslims alike – of the obligations we have to each other, especially those who are suffering. We must continue to work hard with the communities in which we live to share our faith and to build stronger ties. After all, we can achieve more together than we can do alone. Eid Mubarak!
