Suspect who shot at cab driver caught (Camden, NJ) – Kason Davis, who shot at a taxi driver on Dec. 18 after an argument, was arrested Tuesday by Camden County Police Detective Brian Razzi and other members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. Davis, 33, of Camden, who took a taxi to the corner of Mount Ephraim Avenue and Everett Street after 2 a.m. on Dec. 18, argued with the driver when it stopped. As he exited and the taxi drove away, Davis fired his gun at the taxi. The taxi driver then followed Davis and observed him enter a home on the 1600 block of Kolo Street. Officers who responded to the scene searched the home but did not locate Davis. Det. Razzi and members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force worked to locate Davis in the weeks after the crime and arrested him at Haddon Avenue and Market Street on Tuesday. Davis is charged with Possession of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Aggravated Assault. He was remanded to the county jail with bail set at $100,000 cash or bond. “I would like to thank the U.S. Marshals for their tremendous work pursuing and capturing violent criminals who attempt to escape justice. They have been an invaluable partner in helping to protect Camden residents,” said Chief J. Scott Thomson.
