If you are enthusiastic about film,if you are interested in this mysterious oriental ancient palce,if you want to make your film dream come true,you should sign up for this short film competition as soon as possible!come on! General rules of the competition: 1、 Press conference In April,we will hold Press conference and our official website will formally operate. 2、Works’collection period(from April to the end of june) （1、）Category: A.script： a.Your script must keep contact with the theme of the first competition season“I love Suzhou” .Your script can be about history、culture and customs of Suzhou as well as inspirational stories happening in Suzhou. b. The length of your script must be limited to let it be an short film which is not over 30 mins. c.You must complete your script and upload it to our official website before the deadline of the collection period . B.director team: a. Your team must be integrated b.Your work must be made after 1st.Jan.2013. c.Any kinds of themes of works is admitted to take part in the competition ,but the total running time must not be over 30mins. d.Name、dialogue and narratage of your work must be with Chinese subtitles. e.The actors/actresses belonging to your teams can also take part in the actor/actress competition unit. Shortlisted teams can come to Suzhou to make short films to entry the next stage. C.actor/actress： a.No age limit. b.Contestants are divided into femal group and male group. c. You need to upload your picture or talent show video to our official website.If you have once perform in shor films or films,you can also upload them to our website. d.The length of your video must not be over 30 mins Note:All of your application form、copyright agreement、script、pictures(deposit them in the optical disk or U disk in the format of JPG/BMP)、video(deposit them in the optical disk or U disk in the format of AVI/WMV/MOV) must be posted to us. (2、)Range:the whole world. All contestants will be grouped into domestic contestants and foreign contestants. (3、)way of selecting: a.Contestants must firstly fill in the application form online , then your works will be voted by netizen as soon as it is released on our official website. b.Netizen vote via our official website and App. c.According to the vote ,we will select top 15 scripts、top 15director teams(5 from the foreign teams and 10 from the domestic teams)、top 15 actors/actresses,who will enter the next stage. (4、)reference materials: On April,we will release relative materials about Suzhou on our official website. The materials includes true events about moral models 、 commen citizen who are on the list of “Chinese kind person” and youths who are full of inspiration ,which will let you know more about Suzhou’s customs and practices、history and culture as well as the current development situation.Cotestants can refer to it to write scripts related to the theme of the first competition season. (5、)Propaganda: Besides our official website,the Organizing Committee of the Competition will propagandize excellent works through domestic public platform ,such as popular video websites、Sina microblog 、 WeChat as well as traditional medium. 3、 Creation period of the entry works(from July to the end of August) (1、)Pairing & PK:(from 1st.July to10th.July) Each top 15 director teams will pair off with one of the top 15 scripts and actors(/actresses) .Once the teams choose the same script,they will PK,for example,if several teams select the same script,they will pk.the teams set forth their own idea about the shoot ,then they will win by netizens’ vote .Similarly,if several teams choose the same actor/actress,they will pk .It’s up to the actor/actress. （2、）Experience the life:(from 10th.July to 15th.July) The shortlisted candidates will be invited to Suzhou to experience life here.The Organizing Committee of the Competition will afford all the expense. （3、） Shoot:(from15th.July to 31st.July) The 15 teams will be devided into several groups and carry out the shoot in turn.Time should be limited to 5 days. （4、）Post production:(from1st.Aug to 31st.Aug) You need to do post-editing and special effect packaging design after completing the shoot and upload it to our official website. Note: a.The Organizing Committee of the Competition will provide contestants with post-editing room and equipment. b.You can also take your own equipment. （5、）Synchronous propaganda: All the works will be broadcast simultaneously online on each period during the two months. 4、Screening and selecting period(from 1st.sept. to 30th.spet.) (1、）Screening: the 15 short films will premiere simultaneously on the official website .Cinemas of different districts of Suzhou and relative columns of Suzhou TV station will also screen them. （2、）Selecting: the result of this short film competition will depend on both votes of netizens ,accounting for 40%,and votes of professional judge group,accounting for 60%.The judge group consists of famous directors、actors、actresses、scriptwriters、movie critics in China and top notch in the film business. 5、 Awards(oct.) （1、 ）The awards ceremony will open at oct.
