Swampies, Still on the road at a Clarion Hotel in Gillette Wyoming and what a difference from the Motel 6 from last night which cost more at Wall, South Dakota and they had nothing. We have a five star hotel here for a cheaper rate, just hopped out of hot tub, full continental breakfast tomorrow. Used gift certificates from Applebees which was walking distance for dinner, life here in Wyoming is good. Went to an wildlife preserve this morning saw bears, reindeer, mountain goats, elk, porcupine, lynx, bobcats, antelopes, river otters, baby bears, mule deer, fox, wolves, bighorn sheep and some other things. Bears, reindeers, mountain goats, and wolves came up to window, all photos on alter ego’s page if you are interested in seeing what I did. Mount Rushmore was next, we actually walked the Presidential Trial and wow the different views of the monument are spectacular. By the way a National Park Pass does not get you into park, because the charge for parking. So, since so expensive we didn’t go to Crazy Horse, but headed to Deadwood, saw Wild Bill and Calamity Jane’s graves and not much more to see there. Headed into Wyoming and headed for Yellowstone tomorrow and Old Faithful, if we get done in a timely manner, we will spill into Idaho and then down to Salt Lake City and then home. I am missing Jessie and Monet, by the way Jessie picked Monet up today, they said she played with the other doggies finally and had a good time. Jessie said she is tuckered out but keeps looking for me. So, that’s all folks for today’s adventure. By the way most bikers and nice and polite, but many are rude and nasty, cut you off, steal your parking place and say a string of curse words at you for a car daring to be on the road during Sturgis. Grateful for the majority nice bikers and have met some neat people from all over the country, Canada, and Mexico. Peace and Love Sayin Still Holiday Road…..Gracie
