Swazi delegates attending the Africa Media World Project currently - TopicsExpress

Swazi delegates attending the Africa Media World Project currently in progress in Johannesburg raised the Swaziland question and placed in the centre of discussion at the conference on Tuesday. Comrades from TUCOSWA presented a strong case about the country such that their colleagues from Across the African continent forced the program to give more time discussing Swaziland as just about everyone had something to say in relation to the countrys repressive attitude towards democratic ideals, including political rights. This was after our representatives had made a compelling argument. As a result facilitators resolved to allocate a special session just to tackle the Swaziland question deeper, though it was clear that the time will not be adequate enough to reach conclusive positions. This special seating will take place this morning on and promises to assist in enforcing international campaigns and mobilisation among other things. This therefore demands, from all of us, to show movement on the ground because international support of any size can only assist so far. The bulk of the work must and should be borne by us. Indeed we can can only encourage our sympathisers and friends to throw in more into our struggle if we indicate clarity of purpose and commitment in our course. That is why the arrest of our comrades should ignite a spark of action and push us to recommit ourselves with renewed vigour. We, therefore, applaud comrades who showed up at the High Court Tuesday. Their action helped to show the conference delegates, in clear terms, that indeed they had a natural duty as the working class to act in solidarity with their counterparts in Swaziland. Comrades this is not the time to debate ideological differences, this is the time to act, act in a systematic fashion because, as we know, the state is every plotting against those it considers political threat. Lets mobilise and organise ourselves into a formidable force as the poor and working class. We may not have the guns and resources like those on the otherside, but they cant contain us if decide to walk together. We will update comrades on the resolutions and/or key points considered by the conference this morning. AMANDLA!
