Sweet Duke, the owner surrender older Lab with a seizure disorder-was almost euthanized on Friday. Nobody wanted him, and we had no space for the animals waiting in crates or on the AC trucks for space. While walking through the kennels, I decided to say goodbye to Duke last. We ran out of euthanisia solution before his number was called. At 5 pm that same day, Dukes angel showed up. Duke is in a foster home right now. Without his angel, Duke would not be alive today. Someone opened their heart and home to him, and because of their kindness, Duke is alive today. In a place where we are the dumping ground for unwanted and used up animals, where we a constantly told it is OUR fault, where we witness horrible acts of cruelty and neglect and where we are cussed out on a daily basis, I had a glimmer of the kindess that humans are capable of. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to the wonderful family that saved Duke. It meant the world to him, and to me. Now lets hope this is a fosture failure! haha!! :) ~Madi
