Sweet Lady has sprung the coop so to speak. Very sweet girl.. she was very scared at the shelter and very uncomfortable..With due cause. Missing her companion of 8 years and taken from the only home shed ever known to be dumped in a shelter with lots of other barking furkids.. The workers loved her..But she needed out of there.. Melissa and her husband Mark picked up Lady to help transport her to Virginia to meet her new adopter. They stopped along the way to stretch their legs and Lady grew quite comfortable with them rolling over for belly scratches and commandeering the front seat when they got back in which left Melissa and their new baby Zoey, who they adopted from us and picked up at MAS after vetting, in the back seat.lol.. That being said, when I called the adopter to tell her how well Lady was doing and that she was on her way, I mentioned that Lady was not in my judgement a flat coated retriever.. Today was the first day I personally had been close enough to her to really look at her.. Anyway, the adopter backed out as she truly wanted a flat coated retriever.. Lady is now with Melissa,Mark,and Zoey in a motel room in Cookeville Tn for the night till in the morning.. Im reaching out to a friend in Cookeville to meet them and pick up Lady for me.. Lady needs a foster till an adopter is found.. She cant go back to the shelter.. she was too scared there.. And no matter how much I love the shelter she was at, it was still a shelter and she was too uncomfortable there.. Come on friends, help me out here. Any ideas for this sweet girl?
