Sweet Mr. Cuddles is slowly but steadily coming along. After a few days to get use to the new sights, sounds, and smells of his foster home he has come out and hopped up on his foster moms bed. What a nice big yawn telling his foster he just might be ready to settle for the night. His numbers do seem to be continuing to run higher than we would like but he has slowed down a good bit on eating drinking and peeing. Upon closer inspection of his teeth last night we are a little concerned about his teeth and worry that at least one of his lower canine tooth is possibly infected. We are also concerned that the mats around his neck appear to be really close to his skin and may be pulling continuously. We are attempting to get Mr. Cuddles into see one of our diabetic knowledgeable vets at Burke. We suspect he may need a dental but may first require a round of antibiotics and then to schedule a dental if needed. We think that both the dental and mats may be part of the reasons his numbers continue to be high. Ive asked thr foster to call Burke today to schedule an appointment for him to get assessed and see what all will be needed for him. Jana Thacker Venita Wood Rena RF
