Sweet Peace of Forgiveness: Gods forgiveness is not for sale! You cant buy it, earn it or bargain for it. God forgives because of who He is, not because of who we are or what we do. We dont have to be perfect to receive Gods forgiveness. Thats great news because no one is perfect, so that would be an unobtainable goal! Gods grace and mercy is extended to all His children that love Him and believe in Him. We obey God to show Him how much we love Him and to show Him our appreciation, not to gain entry to heavenly bliss. Many people dont understand just how loving our heavenly Father truly is. They think He is looking down on us just waiting for us to mess up so He can rain His wrath down upon us. But this is a lie of Satans and could not be farther from the truth. Jesus loves us so much that He died to save us! He doesnt want anyone to perish, but that each of us have eternal life! Forgiveness is ours - just for the asking. 1 John 1:9, says, All we need to do is confess our sins, and He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness!
