Sweet beautiful Anna I can safely say is on the mend from distemper. Ive had her here at my home since her diagnosis because I just couldnt stand getting the phone call that she hadnt made it. Anna and her mother misty had spent the day with me after their release from the shelter and I instantly fell in love with this girl. So when I got the news from the vet I needed her here with me. Im sure her foster was fully capable of monitoring her closely but I think I needed her here for myself more than she needed me. When they brought her to me she was a limp sad thing. She would meekly wag her tail and then just drift off to sleep. She didnt have the energy to play and explore the world like puppies are supposed to do. Yet she knew her body needed rest and boy has it paid off. I have had her here for 4 says now and shes a completely changed being. She runs and plays and wrestles and absolutely loves her life. And watching her come alive has been a gift that Im forever grateful for. Shes still got a cough and still is on medication but shes going to make it. She is a fighter and she will survive and be an absolutely amazing pet for some lucky family. Ill be passing her back over to her wonderful foster family today and will probably shed a few tears. Some of these dogs just have a way of leaving a mark and this is definitely one of them for me -Amanda
