Sweet little Tia is getting her dental surgery right now, and will - TopicsExpress

Sweet little Tia is getting her dental surgery right now, and will finally be pain free! This is one more Furry Tail Ending that wouldnt be possible without your incredible generosity and support -- thank you, from the bottom of my heart. TIAS STORY: Beautiful Tia was still a kitten when she got pregnant. Like many pet owners, Tias humans didnt realize kittens can get pregnant as young as 16 weeks, and had been letting her outside without having her spayed. When they discovered she was pregnant, they surrendered her to the Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS). Tia went right into foster care at Cute Kittens to have her babies in a safe, loving home environment. Sadly, a trip to the vet revealed that she was suffering from lymphocytic plasmacytic syndrome (LPS), which is a painful, chronic auto-immune disorder involving the teeth and gums. Cats affected by LPS will be unable to eat, develop weight loss, and excess salivation. Despite her chronic pain and early pregnancy, our little Tia is the sweetest kitten and best mommy ever! She had four adorable babies on September 10th, and they are now ready to be spayed/neutered and adopted. Tia will need surgery to be spayed, and then to remove most of her teeth -- the only way to stop the pain and prevent ongoing problems. The surgery will allow her to live a happy, pain-free life. She will be able to eat just like any other cat once she is all healed up, and we will do everything in our power to find her the exceptional loving forever home she deserves. The surgery she needs is very expensive, complicated and time-consuming. Two wonderful vets, Dr. Ferguson at Mountain View Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Rochette at West Coast Dental Specialists, have stepped up to get us halfway to the $3000 this surgery would normally cost. If we can raise the remaining $1400 for her surgery and recovery, well be able to give Tia a chance to live a happy, loved life! --- 16 hours after we posted about Tia back in October, you guys had donated a staggering $1650 for her surgery and post-op care. You are amazing.
