Sweet mama wants new draperies and so held her opinion on this - TopicsExpress

Sweet mama wants new draperies and so held her opinion on this subject. See what you think. This is related to my previous commentary on “opening a new front”. Within our community, we (collectively and/or some of us) are the nouveau riche. That is to say our wealth or the wealth within our community has been acquired within the last 30 to 50 years or the time it takes to pay off a mortgage. Consider also the money many of our athletes, artists and entertainers gross. (See my previous commentary) The word on the street is that with this so, the excuse that we don’t have the money to enter mainstream economics doesn’t work anymore. With this fog lifted it is clearly racism that prevents our owning a piece of global manufacturing and trade or banking and investment i.e. owning a car company where we extract the minerals out of the ground, process them, then design, develop and manufacture the automobile (or any “whole part” of this process thereof). The same goes for jets, televisions, computers etc. The same holds true for the application of our equity to create significant banking investment and wealth development opportunities. Could the reason be that because our wealth is recent (and that is a fact), as a group we have really not matured politically or socially to where we can responsibly elevate to this level? If this were not so, how did the “stop and frisk” laws in New York or “stand your ground” laws happen? Ask yourself if you would trust our political and religious leaders to create financial bonds amounting to billions of dollars that would finance these initiatives? Further, word on the street is that there are many more examples where local leadership was and is sleeping on the job. To be fair the burden isn’t exclusive to our community but as always we are the first to feel the pain and the first to suffer the blame. Ours is a much more precarious situation. We have much more to lose. The crux of our matter is that the process has already started and is advancing rapidly. With a view to balancing this equation I hear no one saying that one of the first things our leadership should have done or should be doing is to assure the global financial community that our “nouveau riche” and the rest of our community are politically and socially mature and that there is no threat to established wealth and structure as our silence if not our acts would indicate. And that is Omni important in a world of political turmoil and economic uncertainty. Is it true, considering our current events and trends, that the fight is lost and the battle hasn’t even started (previous commentary)? To that address this is but a shot in the dark; hope wished from a bottomless well when no well is bottomless, a glimmer of hope, faint to be imagined yet so the slightest spark in a closed eye when every closed eye is not closed. It is the genius of uniqueness begging to die in life’s leitmotif. Or do you doubt it’s really that bad? Get past the split verbs and typos. Get it before the editor does. There is another front.
