Sweetwater Comedy is officially the highlight of my week, every week. We just completed our 5th show and though Ive still got a lot of work to do and there are still a few kinks to work out and new furniture/outdoor speakers to buy...I think Ive found my groove. Im finally relaxed and confident enough in what we have put together so far that Im able to enjoy every bit of work that goes into it even more that I did Week 1.. Im able to talk to comics more (which is one of the best perks of this opportunity/position) and eventually Ill get groovy enough to finally be a somewhat stable - seeming host/HBIC. Pfffthhaa, yeah right :-* Thank you so much to all of the comics who came out and joined us tonight - we had a LOT of New-To-Sweetwater Austin comics which made tonight extra special. Everyone was a part of making this another damn good mic showcase (yeah, Im making up new terms) and part of making me a DAMN PROUD HBIC. Im thrilled I get to provide a spot for you guys to hang out and show off/work on your material and Im very thankful you picked Sweetwater to spend your Tuesday night! Also, side note: Theres nothing better than ending a 2 hour show, smoking a couple of bowls and then hanging out with the remaining comics who are much closer to good buddies than co-workers now while we shoot shit. What do ya know, socializing CAN be fun! :-*. Thanks again for the trust and support Thomas Daniel Smith and Sweetwater!
