Swimming Baths And Weymouth Terrace, Western Esplanade 1912 On the left of the photograph is the old public baths. Built in 1892, the baths comprised indoor pools, a large outdoor pool and changing rooms. Only the part of the building housing the indoor pools can be seen here. The indoor baths were demolished in the 1960s; the outside pool survived until the 1970s. Opposite the baths was Weymouth Terrace. These houses were demolished in the 1970s and the Asda supermarket now occupies the site.
