Swimming Community, We want to thank Swim to Win and Stephen - TopicsExpress

Swimming Community, We want to thank Swim to Win and Stephen Little from Claro Pools for being the first to invite us to be a part of the Just Add Swim day to promote water safety and prevent drowning deaths. When we first met Stephen last summer we knew this was a cause we believed in and matched the mission of our program. We are proud to continue to contribute though it would be impossible for us to give back as much as we gained. We hope to contribute even greater next year by adding more to the Olympian count and volunteer force while bringing in more of the swimming community to participate. As Rowdy Gaines said Friday night during the welcome dinner Steve your vision and impact on preventing drowning deaths is special. We Olympians love you buddy. Youre crazy, but we love you. We will always be there to offer our support and bridge the USA Swimming, US Masters Swimming, and USA Water Polo communities to this cause. Thank you to the YMCA- Palm Desert Aquatic Center , their staff, and the many people from the City of Palm Desert that we met through this event. The relationship between our club and PDAC is on good terms we are proud to say as we do rent pool time year around. Your facility is important to the Coachella Valley and your commitment to an event like this shows our similar visions and goals. Thank you for hosting the day and making us feel welcome. Thank you to all of the Olympians. Nine Olympians in one place offering free instruction and signing autographs throughout the day was truly special. It didnt matter if you were one of the Olympians we have had a past relationship with or our first time meeting, you all extended yourself above and beyond to all the attendees of the day, not just to the Piranha Swimmers. How can you not do anything but commend this event? Our sport came out a big winner this weekend. Swimming and pool safety publicity everywhere, safety skills taught and promoted for free, relationships improved, and everyone leaving the pool bigger fans of swimming then when they entered. The Piranhas can not thank you all enough for this event. Coach Jeff Conwell and the Piranha Swimming and Water Polo Team
