Swimming in the cool blue waters of the Jakartan artificial beach - TopicsExpress

Swimming in the cool blue waters of the Jakartan artificial beach in a skimpy underwear My aunt from NY always was always proud about how I jump with headlong enthusiasm into bindaas situations. On bicycle trips, when Juhu beach was cleaner I have jumped into water with all my clothes on and with an eager somersault. The beach was filled with Muslim families and I thought about it for three hours. I did not particularly wanna shock anyone. And because of my passport and camera phone I could afford to go the full unmonty. It is not very wise to carry your passport and not your swimming shorts but hey screw wisdom. So after walking around pictures, posing with Indonesian girls who asked if I was a Kapoor or Indonesian and because of their xenophilia thought I was a star, while some thought I was an Indonesian born (always like that: Iran, South America, Turkey and a few parts that adopt me and start speaking in their tongue). The Egyptian boy started singing Saudi Prince, that was nice. The French girl asked if I was German - nice but strange. The girls in Joggers Park Napean Sea asked if I was American. So I do like the international flavour. But back to three hours of deliberation. Yes i jump into situations and yes I can be culturally sensitive. So finally met a local guy who spoke some English and asked him about the shock value and, his wife (head scarfed and cute) and he said go for it. And I went for it and man that was heaven after a warm day in the cooling beach and after being dunk for 20 minutes and mostly satisfied I thanked them for looking after my stuff. They even send their kid in the water to collect my glasses and tee shirt. Very Kind most broadminded. I have met people in Iran and Indonesia who are broadminded and aware that the world goes without a scarf often and non-fussy. That was satisfying on a sunny day and then the free bus passed another bigger Beach Pool and this time I was braver, it was darker I even took the camera for a few water level pictures. Ir was just great! Nothing soothes you like cool salt water on a warm island day. Oh these last minute impulses and passion for life and love of water. Its my Scorpio rising that makes me so magnetic to water and of course Sagittarius headlong, head fast, head over heels enthusiasm.
