David Pipes charge, now owned by the big-race sponsors, finished sixth in last years National and will be ridden by Conor OFarrell. His promotion to the final field means Goonyella and Soll are the first two reserves should any more horses drop out before Friday mornings deadline. Tidal Bay and Long Run head the runners with the former, a teenager, carrying top-weight of 11st 10lb in the hands of Sam Twiston-Davies. Perennial champion jockey Tony McCoy had to choose between the JP McManus-owned duo of Double Seven and Colbert Station and he has, as expected, sided with the first-named. Other leading contenders include Michael Scudamores Monbeg Dude, the Willie Mullins-trained Prince De Beauchene and Balthazar King from Philip Hobbs yard.
