Swing Shift Highlights: Shoplifter at Wal-mart Lost Prevention called and advised they had a male in the store who has previously stole items out of several Wal-marts. They advised the male had a shopping tote full of merchandise and was working his way towards the Pharmacy area and east doors. Officers were able to stop the male and detain him. The male had a confirmed warrant out of Washington and had approx. $211.00 in merchandise in his tote. The male could not provide any identification nor did he have a wallet. The male advised officers he was going to meet a female there and she would pay for his items. The male was also charged with attempted burglary as he had no money or wallet on his person. He was also cited and released for petite theft as well. Domestic Dispute Male called 911 and said he just struck his wife and needed to be arrested for the crime. The male was highly intoxicated and dispatch had a difficult time communicating with him as his had rapid mood swings and go from being cooperative to being very angry. When officers arrived the male continued his mood swings and was eventually arrested for Domestic battery in the presence of a child. Apparently sometime during the argument with his wife he punched her with a closed fist in her upper body area. The female scooped up their small child and fled the residence and did not return until contacted by our officers to come back to the residence. (nl)
