Switzerland Focus: electrical and electronic equipment, wildlife species, foodstuffs and fodder, non-hazardous waste, re-organisation of official bodies. The import documentation for Switzerland has been reviewed and amended accordingly. The following changes have been made: Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) A declaration of conformity is a mandatory requirement to import and place EEE on the Swiss market. Consequently, the following document has been added to the set of documents of this report: Declaration of Conformity for Electrical and Electronic Equipment. The section on Standardisation in this overview contains information on further product groups which must conform to the relevant international, EU and/or Swiss norms. Wildlife Species The document entitled Import Permit for Wildlife Species has been blue-pencilled and modified in respect of the Swiss national legislation for endangered species and specific stipulations for plant species. The document has furthermore been equipped with the current application forms and sample certificate. Please turn also to the section on Endangered Species in this overview. Foodstuffs and Animal Feed New animal feed materials which are neither contained in the corresponding EU catalogue (EU Regulation No 575/2011) nor in the Swiss list of notified fodder must be notified to the official Swiss control laboratory, the Research Institute Agroscope Liebesfeld-Posieux (ALP). In addition, all dealers and importers of animal feed for commercial purposes must be registered with ALP. The following documents have been newly incorporated into the report: Notification of Feed Materials Registration of Dealers of Feed Materials. The forms of the following documents have been newly added or exchanged for their current version and the procedures have been adjusted to new requirements: General Import Permit for Agricultural Products Registration with the European Trade Control and Expert System (TRACES). The procedure and form for the mandatory stockpiling procedure for sugar, coffee and designated staple foodstuffs and animal feed such as rice, grain, edible oils and fats and protein-rich feeding materials have been completely revised and adapted to new regulations.
