Sy. Nordica, 1939. Bermudan sloop, designed by Ralph E. Winslow and built by A .King of Hong Kong. The designer, Winslow, was prominent in the yachting scene on the East coast of America, having worked at the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company for several years prior to 1920. One of two identical yachts that were built in 1939, but with the outbreak of WWII they were laid up and not finished until after the war. Once fitted out, she was sold to the first owner in 1946 and raced successfully in various regattas in Hong Kong harbour and became a well known boat on the water.
