Sycamore alum Patrick Rodgers’ remarkable collegiate golf season - TopicsExpress

Sycamore alum Patrick Rodgers’ remarkable collegiate golf season was recognized Sunday when the Stanford junior was named the recipient of the Ben Hogan Award, an honor given annually to the top player in college and amateur golf during a 12-month period. No player in college golf has been as impressive this season as the 21-year-old Rodgers, who has won a Division I-best six times, including this week’s NCAA regional. In his last six starts, he has won five times to tie Tiger Woods’ school record of 11 career victories. Rodgers, the No. 1-ranked amateur in the world, could break the mark at next week’s NCAA Championship. golfchannel/news/college-central/stanfords-rodgers-wins-ben-hogan-award/
