Sydney Dance Company 2015 Season. While the dancers are having a much needed break over the summer period, we are eagerly anticipating the launch of the 2015 season which, if at all possible, appears to further push the limits and be their best season yet. The diverse program will see SDC present 15 individual works in 14 cities and towns across six Australian states and territories, and tour to six international destinations across two continents. These performances will include eight world premiers, and one Australian premier of William Forsythe’s, Quintett. Like most of SDC’s past performances the use of music, lighting and costume design will again play an integral role in their work. Songstress Katie Noonan, fashion designer Toni Maticevski and set/lighting designer Benjamin Cisterne once again join Artistic Director, Rafael Bonachela, for a reprisal of his acclaimed production Les Illuminations. The season launch will kick off in Sydney with Frame of Mind on 6 March 2015 and wrap up mid November with New Breed at Carriageworks.
