Syed Ali Geelani expressed his deep concern over the news reports that medicos from Government Medical College are participating in a cultural show in Delhi and show is being organized by Government Medical College Srinagar. Syed Ali Geelani said the news has shocked me and added that parents of the said students and the college administration while overlooking their responsibilitie s have devoid of all sense of dignity agreed to send their daughters outside the state. Syed Ali Geelani said that India’s military power and their approach could not discourage me, however, such cases tends to be a cause of concern for us. When I see some of my people, unlike their Muslim traditions and identity are on track to adopt a secular culture and I feel for their futre.Syed Ali Geelani said that authoritarian and arbitrary rule could not make any nation their slaves forever, however when a nation cease to adopt its religious and cultural traditions it is definite that they fall prey for the nations strange to them. Hurriyat Chairman said that we took a serious notice of this cultural show and we are investigating the matter seriously and after the quires are completed we will make it to public and those responsible would be asked to face trial in open.
