Sylvia Newman-Mosley.....I know your heart has been broken and shattered at the ripple affect that this tragedy has caused....Not only for our family but for every family involved. Your compassion, grace and empathy for not only your grief but the grief of everyone involved is something we ALL need to rise to. From the beginning.... you have laid this travesty at Gods feet - not at the feet of 12 people...I hope and pray that you will continue to put your faith and unanswered questions there each night. I pray to Him each night that the loss of your only child isnt in vein....that we ALL learn that violence solves absolutely NOTHING. As a mother, I know the jurys verdict didnt matter - their decision couldnt replace Mike Newman.....your only child, the father of your grandchildren - the everything you existed for....My wish is that each and every one of us in this family find it in our hearts to turn the other cheek when fueled by anger...for Mike....it is then and only then that Justice For Mike will be honored. I refuse to let this make me bitter... I cant help but believe he would have only been saddened to know his life was remembered in a negative demeanor.
