Symbiosis Entrance Test 2015 Notification and Dates 18 The B-Tech program is a full-time four-year graduation programme, which aims at transforming a student into a professional with academic excellence and research aptitude. The programme has industry oriented curriculum and a wide range of value addition courses from the areas of liberal arts, performing arts and inter-institutional courses from law, media and management. The program aims to develop holistic personality of students including domain knowledge and soft skills and makes them not only complete technologists but also good human beings with respect for human and national values. ligibility Indian Students Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical vocational subject Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together. Good Scores in any one of the following entrance exams: JEE (Main) or Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET). Foreign Nationals/Non Resident Indians Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical vocational subject Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together. International students eligibility as per SCIE norms. Reservation within sanctioned intake Scheduled Caste 15% Scheduled Tribe: 7.5% Differently able students 3% Policy of admission against vacant seats under reserved category In case some seats remain vacant in reserved categories, these will be converted to General Category after seeking approval from Vice-Chancellor of Symbiosis International University. Over and above sanctioned intake Kashmiri Migrants 2 Seats International Students (NRI/Foreign/PIO) 15% Admission procedure The admissions of the eligible candidates to B. Tech program of the institute will be based on merit in any one of the entrance exams SET or JEE (Main). The admission will be carried out through open counseling, in which the candidate has to be physically present on the date of counseling along with his/her original certificates. The details of the counseling procedure and documents required will be available on the institutes website. Admission through Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) Register for SET examination on set-test.org and pay online, a fee of Rs. 1500/-. Registration start date : 12th February,2015 Last date of registration for SET examination is 13th April, 2015 Register for Symbiosis Institute of Technology by payment of Rs. 1000/- on sitpune.edu.in latest by 5th June, 2015. Report in the Institute on 7th June, 2015 for counseling for admission based on SET merit. Admission through JEE(Main) Apply for admission to Symbiosis Institute of Technology by filling up the form online and making a payment of Rs. 1500/-, on sitpune.edu.in latest by 12th June, 2015. The Score in the entrance examination can be submitted later. Registered candidates can communicate their marks /rank in the examination after declaration of the result.
