Synchronicity... Several years ago I literally stumbled across the Rock Reach House in Yucca Valley. Convinced it was the perfect design for the Peace Center we were envisioning in Sierra Leone, Africa, I tracked down the architect, Lance ODonnell of o2 Architects. When Typhoon Haiyan hit on November 8th and I watched the destruction with complete disbelief and thought I can do something to help I got Lance on the horn. Our design for the houses in the Phillipines were inspired by the Rock Reach House and Lances guidance plus the dedicated assistance of Stephen Gardner for the past three months led us to todays television interview with KESQ and to the reality that by next week, our first phase of 50 house may be fully funded. The beauty of doing this work is first and foremost the people you meet along the way and second, knowing that every moment and every seemingly random incident are part of a startlingly beautiful picture that we can bring into focus if we are brave enough to keep the faith.
