“Synergy – Work Locally!” Training Course, Serbia Comments (0) Deadline: 17 October 2013 Open to: Youth workers, youth leaders, project managers from United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal, Turkey, Romania, Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia Venue: 17-24 November 2013, Čoka, Vojvodina, Serbia Description Seven-day seminar “Synergy – Work Locally!” is a platform that will provide the opportunity for the youth from EU and SEE to present their experiences, debate and discuss, and to hear experts in the field of local youth activism. It will take place on 17-24 November 2013 in Čoka, Vojvodina, Serbia. Nowadays youth organisations are affected by different local, regional, national and European mechanisms influenced by the ongoing democratisation, decentralisation, as well as initiatives of the local (and regional) governments or cross-border cooperation. These conditions create great opportunities for youth NGOs to not only implement their own projects, but also to look for support, in terms of finances as well as know-how. The aim of the project is to create a synergy between all of these factors. Not only youth NGOs but also representatives of local structures will be involved, using Coka – a multicultural Serbian town situated in the triangle between three different countries – as a case study of how such synergy can be achieved. This seminar is an ideal opportunity for local youth workers and youth leaders who want to share and gain new experience, network with their peers from other countries and strengthen their local organizations. As a result of this project, participants will gain increased knowledge about cooperation between youth NGOs and local governments in different corners of Europe but also skills of how such cooperation is of benefit for young people and their own initiatives. Daily timetable of the training course is available HERE. Eligiblity Participants will come from United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal, Turkey, Romania, Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia where activity will be hosted.
